New YouTube Ad Update on Shorts Monetization

YouTube has new ad updates on Shorts monetization. YouTube adds new ad settings, measurement tools, and creator partnerships to increase the revenue of Shorts.

Useful Tools for Performance and Measurement 

YouTube is launching new measurement features, including enhanced Brand Lift surveys and third-party sales lift for the Shorts advertisements. In order to provide more thorough audience targeting and analytics, the platform is also extending its data segmentation options for Shorts viewers

Format Buying Controls 

Format buying controls are among the new tools that let marketers concentrate on horizontal in-stream content or run ads only in the Shorts feed. 

These settings, which were previously only available for Video Reach Campaigns, are now accessible for Video View Campaigns globally.  

New Advertising Tools 

YouTube is launching new advertising tools: 

  • Retailers will have access to interactive stickers for Shorts advertisements before year’s end. 
  • There will be ads with animated images for the campaigns of Demand Gen.
  • AI-driven improvements to videos for various aspect ratios.
  • For more efficient creator collaborations, a new video connecting API.

Strong Creator- Ads Partnership 

Through BrandConnect, YouTube has introduced partnership advertisements worldwide for all Google advertisement campaigns driven by artificial intelligence. According to internal statistics, compared to standard branded content, partnership advertisements on content creator channels can increase Shorts feed conversions by up to 20%.
